The blond haired “superman”.  That’s what they called him. And that’s the boy I liked. But still…I mean who am I compared to him? A Greek girl, daughter of (goodly parent) who’s never been on a quest or down anything great.

I sighed and looked out the science classroom window. The site of Leo Valdez pressing his face to the glass of course, greeted me. I looked around the classroom and no one else seemed to notice him. He gestured for me to come outside. I shook my head and mouthed ‘No’. He looked almost frantic. Then he started jumping up and down. I knew I was going to regret this, but what choice did I have. I raised my hand.
“Mrs. Heckley may I be excused to get some fresh air, I’m not feeling to good.” She looked fairly annoyed, but she pointed to the door.
“5 minutes.” She said.
“If it’s more I’m going to kill Leo.” I said under my breath.

I came outside. Leo instantly grabbed my wrist and started dragging me across the courtyard.
“Hey Leo.” He smiled
“Hey (y/n)”
“Can I ask you something?” I said batting my eyes.
“Anything.” He said with an elfish smile.
“WHAT IN HADES DO YOU WANT?!?” I yelled at him, tearing my wrist out of his grip.
“Jason and Percy need our help.” Leo said.
“You have 5 minutes.” I said feeling my heart in my throat just by the mention of his name

I followed him in a jog towards the woods, which were behind the track. I was freezing cold, wishing I had brought my jacket.
“Leo, how much l-“ I gasped. Suddenly greeted by a Hydra. (In the middle of Indiana?) Its tail was holding Jason upside down, his sword directly under him, and spitting green poison at Percy.
“Oh. Yeah! Help. Finally Leo.” Jason snapped as the Hydra swung him around, making his words choppy.
“Idiots.” I muttered, clicking my (favorite color) jewel on my bracelet instantly turning it into a perfectly balanced sword.

“Percy!”
“Listening!” He said back not turning his head from the Hydra.
“Continue dodging and distracting as many heads as you can, but don’t strike it.” I got a grunt in response. “Jason, hang in there!”
“Trying.” Jason said. I turned to Leo.
“Leo, stay close to me. When I cut off a head I need you to set fire the stump, okay?”
“You got it, sweet cheeks!” He said putting up his hand for a fist bump.
“Remind me to slap you later.” He put his hand down.
“I should have seen that one coming.” I nodded in agreement. Then I started running with him behind me. Dodging poison. The boys had gotten it to 9 heads. Those Idiots.

After Leo and me had gotten five out of nine of the heads, the Hydra dropped Jason. He flew towards the ground and then ran towards us.
Distractions.
Then I got hit with poison on my sword arm. I screamed, dropping my sword somewhere in the process.

The rest of the fight was a blur; Jason and Leo drew the monsters away from me and finished up the job, while Percy gave me a small dose of nectar and bandaged up my arm. I finally heard a crash and the Hydra crashed into the ground into a pile of gold dust. The two boys jogged over to me.

“Are you okay?” Jason asked.
“I shouldn’t have dragged you into this.” Leo said.
“How’s your arm?” Jason
“I’ll give you a thousand free slaps, just be okay.” Leo
“Those were some sweet moves out there, though.” Jason
“We-“
“Stop, guys. I’m fine, really.” I smiled, than blacked out, so much for science class.

I woke up in Camp Half-Blood’s infirmary. I blinked and looked around, to see Jason asleep in a very uncomfortable looking armchair next to the bed. I cleared my throat. He jumped up. His blue eyes looked exhausted and electric at the same time.

“I’m so happy you’re okay.” He whispered as he fidgeted with his hands.
“Kiss me.”
“What?”
“You heard me, blondie!”
